In any service shop—whether automotive, heavy truck, heavy equipment, marine, or other sectors—one role that often goes unnoticed but is absolutely vital is that of the Service Advisor. Service Advisors, sometimes referred to as Service Writers, are essential to the smooth operation of any service department. Their impact extends beyond customer service; they play a key role in boosting customer satisfaction, enhancing job satisfaction for technicians, and even driving the shop's profitability.
